Obituary of Daniel P. Dorrzapf

DANIEL P. DORRZAPF, age 99 on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Mr. Dorrzapf was born January 2, 1912 to the late, Frank and Margaret (Steinhauser) Dorrzapf in Jersey City, NJ. He later resided at Leisure Village West, Manchester, NJ for almost 20 years with his wife, Mildred. She preceded him death in 1991. In 2005, he moved to Herndon, VA to live with his nephew and niece, Anthony F. and Mary Dorrzapf, Jr. In addition to Anthony and Mary, he is survived by his niece, Joyce Hoyer of Toms River, NJ; great nephew, Anthony F. (Angela) Dorrzapf, III of Centreville, VA; great great nephews, Michael and Thomas Dorrzapf; great great niece, Helena English; great great great nieces and nephew, Leila Wolford-Dorrzapf, Lillian English and Lucas English all of Centreville, VA. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Anthony Dorrzapf, Sr. and Frank Dorrzapf and his sister, Helen Engels. Family will receive friends Friday, February 4, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at ADAMS-GREEN FUNERAL HOME, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA 20170. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 750 Peachtree Street, Herndon, VA. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in his name to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Family will also receive friends Tuesday, February 8, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759. An additional Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. John Roman Catholic Church, 619 Chestnut Street, Lakehurst, NJ 08733. Burial will follow at Whiting Memorial Park, Manchester, NJ. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in his name to St. John Roman Catholic Church.
