I have just learned of the passing of Ms. Graves. She was one of the first persons I met upon moving to the area in the late 1980s. She was synonymous with Destin in my mind. She will be missed
I am shocked to have learned a few minutes ago of Mrs. Graves' passing. I just called the Reston Association and asked about her. She was instrumental in my serving on one of the boards at Reston Association by being supportive and encouraging. A wealth of information and a great listener, she was very, very resourceful and active in the community. I often ran into her at events that she chaired or had a leadership role in. She always took time to step out of her "role" and speak to me at length on the sidelines.
I am deeply saddened and will miss her so much.
On behalf of all of the Hamlet neighbors who knew Ellen over the years I want to extend our condolences to the family and her many friends. Ellen was a fixture here on Dry River Ct and will be missed.
As the current Hamlet Board President I also want to recognize her service to our community over the years including as a Board member.
Ellen will be missed!
Ellen was a lovely person. She always had a wide smile and loving greeting for me. We were active together in mostly community and Democratic Party events. I can’t believe that she’s gone- it was so sudden. I will miss her.
