Obituary of Bhikhiben Bhagubhai Patel

Bhikhiben (Savitaben) Patel, age 94, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2018 in Reston Hospital. 

Bhikhiben was born on April 3, 1924 in Gujarat, India to the late Naranjibhai Patel and Benaben Patel. She got married to Bhagubhai Patel in 1946 and they moved to Kenya. The family lived in Kenya from 1946 to 1969. She and her husband and their two sons moved to London in 1969. She lived in London from 1969 to 1995. Later her husband retired and she moved with her husband to USA to join her two sons, Sanmukh Patel of Reston,VA and Manoj Patel of Phoenix, AZ.

Bhikhiben’s husband, Bhagubhai Patel passed away on February 17^th in Reston, VA. She is survived by her two sons. She was very proud of her two sons, daughter-in-law, Ranjan Patel of Reston and the four loving grandchildren, Nimesh, Hema, Himal and Rakesh. Bhikhiben always enjoy meeting people and having good conversations. She had been following the Hindu religion and so very much interested in reading religious bhajan books

Funeral services will be held on Monday May 7, 2018 at 10 am at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
