Obituary of Bruce Paul Mesirow

Bruce Mesirow, 84, died on Saturday, May 26, 2018, after a difficult battle with pancreatic cancer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Cathy, and his sons, James and Robert and daughters Karen and Kay, and step-children Lisa, Nancy, June and Joseph, grandchildren Joey, Sidney, Amanda, JD, Joshua, Chet Tyler, Colton and step-grandchildren Michael, Austen and Nicolette and five great grandchildren.

Bruce was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and attended college hoping to become a pharmacist; however, in 1954, he enlisted and served proudly in the United States Army until 1957.  Though his desire to become a pharmacist was never realized, he did work in pharmaceutical management for over 30 years and then retired from Grainger Supply Company in 2000.

Bruce was a kind and generous man who loved dogs, jelly beans, and chocolate ice cream. He enjoyed music, books and technology, but most of all, he loved his wife Cathy.
