Obituary of Paul John Bizub

It is with great sadness that the family of Paul John Bizub of Herndon, VA announces his passing on May 27th at the age of 75, following a brief illness.  Paul is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Jennifer Delacruz, and her husband, Edward in Arlington, VA; his son, Jeffrey Bizub, and his wife, Michelle, in Ewa Beach, HI; his daughter, Evonne Szczypinski of Pittsburgh, PA; his daughter, Corinne Simeone of Apollo, PA; his sister, Joan Herd in Shingle Springs, CA; his niece, Dodi Schrader, and husband, Rex, of Roseville, CA; four grandchildren; and many extended family members in Pittsburgh.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Dorothy Sloboda, and father, John Paul Bizub.

Paul was born in Pittsburgh, PA on April 9th, 1943.  He attended North Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated in 1961.  He continued his education at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh.  In 1966, Paul joined the US Navy, serving his country honorably for several years, and later worked as a Senior Systems Analyst for US Airways.  Paul coached Little League, was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Herndon, and volunteered with The Closet Thrift Shop.  In his retirement, Paul enjoyed watching baseball and singing in the church choir.  After residing in Herndon for more than 30 years, Paul and his dog “Walker” were well known members of the community.

The family will receive friends at the Adams - Green Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 6th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  The funeral service will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Herndon, VA on Thursday, June 7th at 11:00 am with Father Tom officiating.  Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, 831 Dranesville Rd, Herndon, VA.  A reception will follow at the Senior Center, 873 Grace St, Herndon, VA from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
