Obituary of Richard John Pruzensky

Richard John Pruzensky passed away suddenly on May 27, 2018 at his home in Great Falls, Virginia.  Richard is survived by his parents, William and Susan Pruzensky (Langley), and two brothers, Michael and David Pruzensky.   His sister Bridget Wallis predeceased him by three weeks.  Richard was born June 12, 1968 in Guatemala and lived in Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Kenya and Switzerland.  Richard loved to travel and as an example in 2008 he traveled with his parents to Paris, Lourdes and Carcassonne, France.  Following the 1976 earthquake in Guatemala he met Mother Teresa when she visited his parents’ home.    During his time in Switzerland he enjoyed skiing and hiking in the mountains.  For the last 32 years Richard resided in Virginia and graduated from Broad Run High School.   He worked at Costco for 27 years.   He loved to go fishing in North Carolina.  He will be greatly missed by his family. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 6-8 PM at ADAMS-GREEN Funeral Home 721 Elden St. Herndon, VA. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, June 6 at 11 AM at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 46639 Algonkian Parkway Sterling, VA.  Interment Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon, VA.
