Obituary of Rachel Anne Good

Rachel Anne Good, 37, of Sterling, VA passed away at home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. She is survived by two loving daughters, Faith Anne, 17 and Hope Elizabeth, 5. Along with parents Dean and Debbie Good, sister Jennifer Barndt, grandparents, nieces, aunts, cousins and many friends.

Rachel enjoyed spending summers at the pool with her daughters and could not wait for their summer vacations to Disney World or taking a cruise. Her affinity for dolphins cumulated in 2012 while on vacation where she got to experience swimming with dolphins up close and personal with her daughter Faith.

Rachel was strong willed from the very beginning. As a child she was never shy about vocalizing her wants and desires and as an adult she didn’t allow anyone to deny her what was hers or her children’s. Her opinions were strong and, right or wrong, she stood by them. She never backed down from a fight and fought for those she loved with unparalleled passion. In the end, the only battle she couldn’t win was with herself. She will be remembered for her strength which she exhibited on a daily basis and which far outshined one terrible moment of weakness. Her final thoughts were of love and of her children and family.

We will be receiving family and friends at Adams Green Funeral Home in Herndon on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 10-11 and a “Celebration of Life” will be held directly following. Please come and share stories and memories of Rachel.
