Ms. Gallihugh was the spark-plug that ran the engine of newly opened Park View High in 1976. A true lady!

I have missed having Dorothy across the street and sharing random dinner dates and her sharing tales of her husband, their travels and of her children and grandchildren. (I loved when she shared photos.) I have also missed our roadside chats the past couple of years on the mountain. I always considered Dorothy the Grande Dame of our mountain and her absence has been felt. God’s blessings and peace for her family.

I will always remember "aunt" Dorothy for her laughter and fun spirit. She had a quick smile and a matter of fact manner that I admired. I also remember her as one who was quick to share with others - always willing to help people out. She had a way of sharing and giving gifts, that touched me often. For example, as a kid, I wanted to golf, but didn't really have the money for it. I played with handed down clubs, old balls, and other items from family. One day, Dorothy arrived at my grandparent's house with a new golf bag that she claimed she didn't like...so, she gave it to me to replace the hand- me down one (with mold on it!) that I was using. This was a luxury item to me, and I never forgot it. She was generous, helpful, supportive and good. I'm sure many have memories of her to share - I hope through the sharing - you all get a few more smiles from Dorothy. Sending my love, prayers an thoughts of peace to all who knew and loved her.
