Erin Johnson Voss – Obituary
Her family regrets to inform you that Erin Louise (Johnson) Voss passed away July 16, 2018 at the age of 68. She collapsed at her home in Ashburn, Virginia of cardiac arrest after suffering years of atrial fibrillation. Despite the prompt and vigorous emergency medical efforts, she was pronounced dead at Loudoun Hospital.
Erin was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on March 2, 1950 to Eldred (Ellie) Johnson and LaVerne (Billie) Anderson. After several years in Green Bay, the family moved to Sheboygan, Wisconsin where Erin attended St. Peter Claver Elementary School, Farnsworth Middle School, and Sheboygan South High School. After some college and work experience, Erin married John A. Voss at St. Peter Claver Church on May 1, 1971. The couple lived in Milwaukee, West Bend, and Menomonee Falls in Wisconsin adding Eric and Jason to the family in 1972 and 1974, respectively. In 1977, the family moved to Milan, Italy for three years. Carrie joined the family in 1978 being born in Switzerland. Upon returning to the United States, Erin and family settled in Herndon, Virginia for 25 years. In 2005, Erin and John moved to Ashburn. During her adult life, Erin held many jobs, most recently with HunterLab, where she was always considered a valuable team player with a ready sense of humor.
Erin leaves behind her husband John; their three children and their spouses – Eric, Jason and Ashley, and Carrie and Pete Schourek; six grandchildren – Torin and Kirah Johnson, Candace and Nicole Schourek, and Lucy and Chloe Voss; her three brothers and their spouses – Gregg and Jan, Jeff and Kendra, and Kevin Johnson and Carrie; and her many friends and former co-workers.
A celebration of Erin’s life will be held at Belmont Country Club on August 25th. Additional details will be added here as they are finalized.
