Obituary of Rolando Cervantes Agustin

Rolando C. Agustin, Sr. age of 88 and resident of Herndon Virginia passed on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 8:13am.  He was born to Nicanor and Vivencia Agustin on April 1, 1930 in Malolos, Philippines.  He worked for National Waterworks and Sewerage System (NAWASA) for most of his career while in the Philippines.  He immigrated to the U.S. in 1984 and eventually became a US citizen.  He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1999.  During his retirement, he spent most of his time enjoying God’s beautiful creation.  He loved working in the garden, planting the most amazing trees and flowers that “miraculously” grow in different seasons.  He also enjoyed making wood curving that he shared with churches.  He was a loyal member of the Leesburg United Methodist Church where he shared his God given talent of singing.  His tenor voice awed anybody who heard it.  But most importantly, he enjoyed serving the Lord and the company of his family, friends, and neighbors.  He lived a full, unselfish, and meaningful life.  He was well loved and will be missed immensely by all who knew him.
    
Rolando was preceded in death by his son Rolando Jr., and survived by his wife Lydia; children(8) Rossana (Lito), Ronaldo (Lisa), Roweena (Mitch), Roberto (Luz), Norman, Rachel, Michael, Mary Ruth; stepchildren (3) Sharon Rose, Lynnuel, Nowell;  grandchildren (10) Nick (Caitlin), Carlos (Katrina), Emily (Jon), Rouel, Rolando III, Allen, Radharani, Lauren, Nina and Richard; great-grandchildren (7) Ethan, Rowsalie, Gianna, Ariella, Ezra, Avery, and Grayson; sisters (2) Norma and Violeta; brothers (2) Oddie and Gus (deceased); and lots of nieces and nephews.     

    The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to each and every one of you for the love, prayers, and support you have provided them during this difficult time.
