Obituary of Deloise Adams Howard

Deloise Louise Adams Howard, age 62, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in Herndon, Virginia. A native of Athens, Texas, she was born July 4th, 1956 to the late Jack and Mae Catherine Adams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Alvin Adams.

Deloise enjoyed a long and successful telecommunications career with United Telephone Systems, Greyhound, Sprint, and MCI where she was a Project/Program Manager. In 2005, she relocated to Maryland to assume a position with  the U.S. Government at Transportation Security Administration under the Department of Homeland Security where she later retired after many years of service.

She is survived by: her daughters, Christie Howard and Mary Howard; two sisters, Jackie Adams Butler (Raymond) and LaVonda Adams Krop; and aunt, Margaret Irving Warner (Charles). Also, left to cherish Deloise’s memory are nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Adams Green Funeral Home in Herndon, Virginia.

The internment service will be held on August 11, 2018 at North Athens Cemetery, Athens,Texas at 9:30 AM. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 837 N. Prairieville St. Athens, Texas.
