Those who had Bruce for a friend had a treasure indeed. He was a compassionate and loyal friend in the true sense of what a friend is supposed to be. As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. He came alongside his friends and encouraged godly character and modeled it. He was loving and supportive. He cared about the well-being of the whole person - body, soul, and spirit, but especially soul and spirit – because he knew that our body is temporary. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart, soul, mind and strength and encouraged the same in others. His passion was to share Jesus and see others come out of darkness into the light of His kingdom and be headed for heaven as their eternal home by making a faith decision to admit they have sinned coming short of God's glory, believing that God loves them and sent His only son Jesus to live a perfect life and die paying for their sins; receiving Jesus Christ as their Savior by faith, and so receiving eternal life. Bruce now is on that side of life. We will meet again on that beautiful shore. Until then, Farewell dear brother in Christ! Thank you for befriending those I love!
