Obituary of Richard Lee Six

Richard Lee Six, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 27, 2018 at Somerford Place in Columbia, Maryland.  Dick, as he was known to his family and friends was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1934, the only child of Wanda Geraldine (Roseberry) and Walter Lee Six.  He went on to become an Industrial Engineering Manager and raised a family with his beloved late wife Suzanne (Sue) K. Six, in Maryland and Florida before finally settling in Reston, Virginia.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Dick enjoyed fishing, golfing, kayaking, reading, refinishing antique furniture, and was never found without his faithful sidekick Shadow.  Always holding in our hearts his late daughter Leslie Kay, Dick is survived by his three children Denise Wilson, Terri (John) Halley, and Rick (Tracie) Six; twelve grandchildren Kelly (Blane) Tarr, Christopher Wilson, Laura Wilson, Lyn Wilson, John Michael (Leah) Halley, Patrick (Megan) Halley, Andrew (Kristine) Halley, Eric Six, Bryan Six, Kari Six, Kyle Six, and Savannah Six; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday October 2, 2018 at Adams Green Funeral Home.  A funeral service will immediately follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
