Obituary of Kathryn M. Sonderegger

Kathryn (“Katy) Sonderegger, 77, of Reston, VA passed away peacefully on October 3, 2018 in the home of her son, Dean and his wife Tracy. She was born on October 24, 1940 in Odessa, MO. Katy retired after 30 years of service with the Federal Government where she worked at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). Katy was the beloved wife of 45 years of Ron Sonderegger (who passed away in 2008); the loving and devoted mother of Dean Sonderegger of Reston, VA; daughter of Helen and Murle Shiveley of Odessa, MO, and the sister of J.W. Shiveley of Springfield, MN, Julie Wheeler and Terry Shiveley both of Odessa, MO, Wayne Shiveley of Williamsburg, VA, and the proud grandmother of Crawford and Jordan.

A visitation will be held between 1:00-2:00 PM with funeral services to follow at 2:00PM on Wednesday, October 10th at Galilee United Methodist Church, 45425 Winding Road, Sterling, VA 20165. Interment will follow the service at Chestnut Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the interment at Cantina D’Italia in Herndon, VA.
