Obituary of Alan Patrick Healy

Alan Patrick Healy of Herndon, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Reston Hospital Center.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1947, Mr. Healy spent much of his youth in New Jersey and became a United States citizen in 1968. He studied at St. Aloysius College and the University of Paris,received his B.A.from St. Peter’s College, and his M.A. from Kansas State University. Mr. Healy spent most of his career as a consultant and insurance executive and retired in the early 2000s.

He is survived by two siblings, Maureen Melovchik and Francis Healy, as well as two sons and three grandchildren. His son Ian lives locally with his girlfriend Laura. Brendan Healy and his wife Georgina live in Ohio with their three sons: August, Dean and Smith. Mr. Healy was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a parishioner at Saint Thomas à Becket Catholic Church in Reston, Virginia.
