Obituary of James Camillus McCabe

James Camillus McCabe, age 78, passed away at his home in Reston, Virginia on Wednesday, November 21st, 2018.  He was born on January 12, 1940 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to James E. and Mary Walworth McCabe. He lived an excellent life!!James was a graduate of Boston College with a degree in English. On May 2nd 1964 he married Patricia Claire Roy and together they had six children and shared 55 years of love and devotion. He made the best of every day through random road trips, an abundance of ice cream, singing and dancing with his family and delighting neighbors and friends with his positivity and light .
Apart from his love for his Lord and Savior, James’ greatest joy in life was his marvelous family. Leaving a great legacy behind, James is survived by his wife Patricia; his children Ellen Marie, Jimmy, Michael, Kathleen, Shaun, and Kristin; their spouses; his 13 grandchildren :Ben, Caitlin, Evan, Nicholas, Megan, Graham, Emily, Ethan, Aimee, Kailey, Liam, Luke and Logan; and his 4 great-grandchildren Owen, Daniel, Heidi and Cassidy. James always said, “Some people have money and some people have children. We are the rich ones.”

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 27th at 10 am at St John Neumann Catholic Church in Reston Va. Immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be held privately.
