Obituary of Jack Albert Weaver

Jack Albert Weaver, 84, passed away on Monday November 26, 2018 at the home of his son and daughter in-law in Mooresville NC.

“Jack Ola” as he was fondly known to his family, was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Rosalie, and his brother Bobby.

He is survived by his 3 children: Jack Weaver and wife Dulcie, Debora Hamilton and husband Scott, Tom Weaver and wife Charlene; 3 step children: Richard von Gersdorff and wife Margaret, Kevin von Gersdorff and wife Angie, Mark von Gersdorff and wife Julie; a brother, Billy and his wife Joan. Mr. Weaver had been blessed with 21 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren as well as many close friends.

Born December 14, 1933 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Robert Pherson Weaver and Ida Emma.

Mr. Weaver was successfully self-employed for the better part of his working life. He took great pride in his business, and truly relished the friends he made along the way.

Jack had a way of making everyone he met smile, even if you weren’t a Steelers fan! He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching football and of course dessert! Jack leaves behind a legacy too big for anyone to fill. We are all left with a deep sorrow and sadness, yet we are grateful he is no longer in pain. Jack would always remind us, “There’s only 1Jack Ola”, and that was absolutely correct!

Services will be held at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street Herndon, VA. Friday, November 30th.  Visitation at noon with the service beginning at 1pm. Graveside service to follow at Sterling Cemetery, 45835 W Church Rd, Sterling, VA.
