Obituary of Paul Stephen Ello

Paul Stephen Ello, age 73, of Reston, VA died on May 2, 2008 at Reston Hospital Center. He was born on April 5, 1935 in Bronx, NY to the late John S. and Lillian Larson Ello. After high school in 1954 Paul joined the Air Force. He was sent by the Air Force to Yale University language school for one year to study Chinese, then served one year in Korea, after which he was stationed at March Air Force Base in California until his discharge in 1958. Paul then attended San Jose University, graduating with high honors. He then obtained both his Master's and PhD degrees in Political Science from the University of Iowa. Paul was an Associate professor at Georgetown University for many years, teaching in the government department and School of Foreign Service. He was later employed as Senior Vice President at BDM, Inc. until his retirement in 2001. Paul was the beloved husband of 28 years of Dorothy Severson Ello, loving and devoted father of Stephen Ello and his wife Leslie, Mark Ello and his wife Patricia and Erik Ello and his wife Gabriella, step-father of Steven and his wife Barbara and the late Connie, brother of John V. Ello and Veronica Ello Grogan, proud grandfather of Meghan, Kasey, Kiley and Matthew, step-grandfather of Sarah, Brian and Allan, also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 7 th from 9am-11am at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA, where funeral services will be held at 11am. Interment will immediately follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Herndon, VA.
