Obituary of Elsie Stukowski Dahmer

Elsie Stukowski Dahmer, 91, passed away on January 5, 2019 in Ashburn, VA.  She was born to the late Walter Stukowski and Mary Hamryski in Coalport, PA on July 7, 1927 and was raised with her sister Cecilia in Newark, NJ.  She married Arthur Dahmer in September 1948.  They lived briefly in North Carolina, where Elsie worked as a bookkeeper, before moving to northern Virginia in 1952 and starting their family. They have lived in northern Virginia ever since, with the exception of three years in southern New Jersey in the 1960’s. Elsie volunteered for several years with Red Cross blood drives.

Elsie is survived by her husband Arthur of 70 years, sons Douglas (Freeport, Maine) and Carl (Seattle, Washington), grandchildren Stephen, Kirstin, Derek, Ali, and Bridget, and great granddaughter Petra.  A private ceremony will be held at a later date when she is interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
