Obituary of Shizuko Morita

Shizuko (Shiz) Morita was born in San Francisco, California on August 10, 1926 to Nobutaro and Toshi Morita. She attended schools in San Francisco and Heart Mountain, Wyoming where she was interned during World War II. For her first year of college, Shiz attended Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. Near the end of World War II, when Shiz was allowed to return to California, she transferred to the University of California Berkeley where she graduated as a dietitian and subsequently worked at hospitals in San Francisco and Berkeley. Later she worked for the Pacific Gas & Electric Company. After many years of living in California, she moved to Virginia to be near her sister, Yasuko Morita Ikeda and family. She passed away on Tuesday January 7, 2019. Services will be private.
