Obituary of Candace Ester Emanuel

Candace Ester Emanuel, age 62, of Herndon, A, died on Monday, October 11, 2010 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital Center from a cerebral hemorrhage. She was born on June 9, 1948 in New York, NY to the late Jack Joseph and Elsie Lahti Emanuel. Candace was amazingly talented in counted cross-stitch, needlepoint, jewelry-making and most forms of crafts. She loved jigsaw puzzles and gardening. By trade, she ran her own craft business and was an office manager, receptionist and medical billing agent. She lived most of her life on Long Island, NY but moved to Herndon, VA in 2008 to be closer to her family. Candace was the loving and devoted mother of Joseph Halloran and his wife, Kristin. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 7:30 p.m. at ADAMS-GREEN FUNERAL HOME, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA 20170. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Avenue, Flushing, NY 11365
