I cannot remember if I ever actually met my stepbrother Phil in person, but I have heard about him for so many years in such glowing terms that I just assumed he was Superman, Gandhi, Ronald Reagan and everyone's best friend wrapped up in one person. I have loved Phil because my dad loves him so much. His life was entertwined with so many people and I know you all loved him even more than I possibly oculd have and I am hurting for all of you. Even Jesus wept when his friend died and of all of us, Jesus is the one who knows best that we are all together again one day. So be like Jesus. Cry now, and then be happy that this parting is only temporary.
