JOSEPH R. FEHRENBACK
FORMER A.B.A. EXECUTIVE,and VETERAN OF WWII
On Friday, February 10, 2012, Joseph R. Fehrenback, CAE, a longtime graphic, business management and sales consultant died of natural causes at home. He was 91.
Mr. Fehrenback was President, JOSEPH R. FEHRENBACK and ASSOCIATES, Inc. He and his wife Mary formed the corporation after he retired in January 1984 as Director of Publications, Printing and Promotion for the American Bankers Association in Washington, DC. He was with the A.B.A. for over forty four years.
He completed more than twenty years as a judge for both the National Best of Printing Awards for Printing Industries of America, and Best of Printing Awards of Texas. He was a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University.
Joe was a flying radio operator/mechanic of the 317 th Troop Carrier Squadron, 2 nd Air Commando Group, in China/Burma/India during WWII. Always interested in veterans' affairs, he was a lifetime member of the Catholic War Veterans, and served as New Jersey State Commander of the CWV in 1955.
He is survived by his children - Bob, Jack, Jayne and Mary and their families. Joe and Mary Fehrenback were happily married since December 4, 1945.
The Family will recevi, 721 Elden St, Herndon, VA, Wednesday February 15, 2012 from 6 to 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 750 Peachtree Street, Herndon, VA on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 12 Noon with a luncheon immediately to follow which all are welcome to attend. Internment with military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Friends are asked to meet at the Administration Building at 10:45 AM.
