Obituary of Rose Mary Foran

Foran, Rose Mary, 89, of Sterling, VA died October 4, 2010 at Inova Loudoun Hospital. She was born March 23, 1921 in New York City where she was raised and attended school. Rose Mary moved to Alexandria, VA to continue her education and met her beloved husband William D. Foran, Sr. (Doug). They settled and raised their four children in Alexandria, VA. Rose and Doug then moved to the Outer Banks where they spent 20 enjoyable retirement years. They then returned to Virginia in 2000 to be closer to their children. Rose Mary is survived by her loving husband of 65 years; Doug Foran, Sr. of Sterling, VA; her son Doug Foran, Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Middleburg, VA, daughter Fran Hudson of Reston, VA; daughter Mary Hutton and her husband Jamie of Waterford, VA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, three of which reside locally and four great grandchildren. Her son, Charles H. Foran preceded her in death. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am on Thursday October 7, 2010 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 46833 Harry Byrd Highway, Sterling, VA. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Mt. Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria, VA. The family requests that in lieu of flowers or donation, you perform an "act of Kindness" in Rose's Memory.
