Philip J. Fraga, 63, of Alexandria, VA died of pancreatic cancer on December 25 th in Richmond, VA. Phil had been the Senior Director for Marketing and Communications for Marketing General, Inc., in Alexandria for the past three years. Prior to that, he was President of The Washington Agency, a business-to-business marketing firm in Reston, VA, for over 20 years. Born in New Bedford, MA on January 15, 1946, he graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology's College of Graphic Arts and Photography and served as a special duty combat photographer in the U.S. Navy before beginning his career in marketing and advertising. A lifelong model railroad enthusiast, h e was a member of the Northern Virginia Model Railroaders club of Vienna, VA. Phil was married to Pamela H. Fraga and is survived by his brother, Peter J. Fraga of Las Vegas, NV, his four children, Michaela B. F. Gelven, Lewis J. Fraga and Abigail V. Allen, all of Richmond, VA, and Catherine A. Bowers of Lititz, PA, and three grandchildren, Cassandra Gelven, Erik and Evan Fraga. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 2nd at 11:00AM at the Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org) or to the Hospice of Virginia (hospiceva.com).
