I just learned now online that Cecil passed some years ago as I was searching on line for memories of my Yamaha racing days. Cecil was one of the kindest men I knew in my life. He always had a positive outlook and could help you see things in a way that was indeed magical. He brought me happiness just being around him. He showed me how to make things and modify engines like no one else could. He taught me how to use my intuition and hands when modifying parts for racing. Sitting here typing I can hear his voice talking about hunting his true passion. I send my love to his wife Linda and his son Jimmy and daughter Cathy. Your Dad Cecil was a true hero in my life and he gave me wisdom that no school ever did. I hope to impart some of the wisdom your father gave to me to my daughter Jade Bazzarre when I take her walking in the forest and camping. God is good and he blessed us with people like Cecil to teach us how to live together and help each other. He was a kind person and a jewel.

Deepest sympathy to Linda, Kathy, Robin, Kelly and Jimmy, my heartfelt condolences to all of you. How many hours both of our families spent together for many years just watching those bikes run around some tracks. Remembering the friendship Cecil and Bob Riley had and how Cecil would listen to all everyone would ask him, he would raise an eyebrow and make a short statement. Cecil did not talk much, but then he did not have to - you got the message. Let your memories be of the fun times everyone had with Cecil Gibson. God Bless. Janet Riley

Cecil was a 2nd dad to our daughter, Lori March, as well as a grandfather to our grandchildren, Skylar and Dakota March. Lori considers the Gibson family as important to her as her biological family. She has been a part of their family for many, many years. Cecil taught Skylar how to "coon hunt" when she was just a baby. He put her up in a tree. He taught her about bugs, and many, many other things. He loved my grandchildren, and they loved him. He will be sorely missed.

Dear Gibson Family, Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. May you find comfort in your loving memories, and in knowing that God is "near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." (Psalm 34;18) He has promised to soon "swallow up death forever...and wipe the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25;8) With deepest sympathy,
