Stuart Bevans Gonseth, 60, died Thursday, June 11. He was born April 5, 1949 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. The son of a career Army officer he spent his life travelling the world. The love for his country led him to choose military service himself. Upon his graduation from Officer's Candidate School (OCS) he served at assorted Army posts around the U.S. and overseas in Germany. After leaving the Army he enrolled at George Mason University. In 1977 he completed his degree in Business Administration. As a Logistics Engineer he worked on many government contracts over his 30 year career. An avid reader with a thirst for knowledge he would drive for miles to get his newspapers. He read them cover to cover. Equally important to him was spending time with his family. The kids, young and old, loved to play games with him. He was a loyal friend. Predeceased by his nephew, David Hobson he is survived by his parents, Kenneth M. (BG-USA, Retired) and Eleanor B. Gonseth: his sisters and their husbands, Jane and Jack Knox (TX); Anne and John Shattuck(VA); and Sally and Tom Hall (VA): two sons Justin (CO) and Kyle (VA) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Adams Green Funeral Home, followed by an 11:00 a.m. graveside ceremony at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, both in Herndon, on June 16 with the Rev Elijah B. White III officiating. Ah so desu ka , Stuart.
