Steven J. Hatcher, 52, of Potomac Falls, VA, died on Friday, May 22, 2009 at a local hospital of complications from diabetes. He was a native of Gallatin, TN but had lived in this area for the past 17 years. He achieved the status of Eagle Scout while in high school. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. He was employed with TSA as a personnel security specialist. He was a member of Sterling United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Lloyd McKinney Hatcher, son Will, and daughter Catie, as well as his parents "Babe" and Clifford Hatcher of Gallatin; his brothers Phillip (Pat), Richard (Carol) Hatcher as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held prior to the memorial service at Sterling United Methodist Church, 304 E. Church Rd., Sterling, VA, Wed., May 27 th , 2009 at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Randy Duncan officiating. Visitation will be held at the church 1 hour before the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA, 22311 or Sterling United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden St., Herndon, VA.
