Obituary of James Teddy Hayes

James Teddy Hayes, age 77, of Sterling, VA died on January 19, 2008 at Hospice of Northern Virginia, Arlington, VA. He was born on December 31, 1930 in Gilliam, WV to the late James W. and Lillie Dolinger Hayes. James retired from the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant after 20 years of service. He also retired as Superintendent of Construction for Hutchison Bros./Jack Baker, Inc. after 20 years of service. James was the beloved husband of 18 years of Judy Hayes. Survivors include his brother, Jack Hayes of Lady Lake, FL, his children David and Darrell Hayes, and Sara all of Texas, and his step-children Mark Taylor of Annapolis, MD and Ted Taylor of Sterling, VA. He was the proud grandfather of Morgan and Samuel Taylor. A memorial service will be held on February 1, 2008 at Sterling Park Baptist Church, 501 N. York Rd., Sterling, VA 20164. Visitation is from noon to 1:00 p.m., followed by a service at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Capital Hospice, 6565 Arlington Blvd., Suite 501, Falls Church, VA 22042 or Sterling Vol. Fire Dept. or Sterling Rescue Squad, each at 104 Commerce Street, Sterling, VA 20164.
