I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Bill Flanagan. Bill and I worked together on the Senate Division, United States Capitol Police in the 70's. I will always remember the good times we shared. Prior to joining the USCP, Bill was my First Sergeant while assigned to 561st Military Police Co., Ft. Myers, Virginia (1967). I will always cherish our friendship. RIP my friend. May God give strength to his family during this very difficult time.

Bill was an outstanding officer that I had the privlege to serve with. We were both on the Senate second relief together. I still have the old Sam Brown belt that he gave me to go with my Santa Claus costume. He was helpful in every way possible. May he rest in peace.

To the Flanagan Family: My sincere condolences to all of you. Please know that in addition to so many other U.S. Capitol Police officers, I have many fond memories of Bill. He was an excellent supervisor: strong as steel and he always walked with a heart of gold. To me, he was the classic happy warrior. It was my honor to have worked for and with him. Rest in peace Sgt. Bill Flanagan.

Dear Family I am very sorry to hear of your loss. My grandfather was also a combat medic with the Red Arrow during WWII, his name was Joe Mijal. I hope that you will always remember your beloved family member as people like that are just not made like that anymore. God bless your family and God bless America. Respectfully, Jeff Koss
