Obituary of Robert Edwin Hoare

Bobby died peacefully on June 19, 2008 at his father's home in Annandale, VA at the age of 53. He was born on September 25, 1954 in Corpus Christi, Texas to LT JG and Mrs. Robert E. Hoare, USN who settled in the Northern Virginia area in 1968. He graduated from Langley, HS in 1973. He was formerly employed by several Virginia Parks and Recreation organizations in the Washington Metropolitan area including the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority and the Fairfax County Park Authority, and the United States National Park Service. Recently he assisted in the care giving to his parents. Bobby was a good natured man who loved the great outdoors. He enjoyed boating, fishing, riflery, and animal husbandry. During his life, he owned and raised several tropical birds and a variety of tropical fish. He was interested in Native American and Civil War history. Bobby was the beloved son of CDR Robert Edwin Hoare, USN (Ret) of Annandale, VA and Ms. Roberta Mary (Hurley) Hoare of Arlington, VA; Brother and sister-in-law of Jeff Hoare and Jodie Oare of Sterling, VA; Uncle of Kathleen DiSanto, Meredith Oare, and Carolyn Oare; Great Uncle of Jacob and Ryan DiSanto; Nephew of Patricia (Hurley) Rajala of San Jose, CA; Cousin to Pam and Greg Rajala; and Good Friend to all. A Graveside Service and Interment will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 10:00 at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Herndon, VA.
