I am SO grateful to be a part of your lives and especially grateful to be a part of sandy's life...I enjoyed every single time I got to see and spend time with her and I am so disappointed and sad for you. I love you all and though I cannot be with you physically, you will be in my heart on Saturday just as I carry you with me everyday. Love from Los Angeles, Tara P.

To Sandy's family: I have fond memories of having sleepovers at my house and at Sandy's in the house she shared with her Mom, Cat, on Stark Street in Columbia, S. C. I did not get to know her as an adult, but she was a kind and fun girl and I am sure her sweet personality carried over into her role as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. May you be blessed and comforted with warm memories of her.

Dear Chris and family - My boys and I were stunned a month ago to learn that your mom had suddenly been stricken and was in the hospital. But, somehow, knowing your mom, it didn't seem possible that anything would get her down, could ever really get her down. As I told Chris, the last time Tomo and I saw her, she was so happy and proud that Chris had met a wonderful woman and gotten married. It didn't seem real that day by day the news from Chris kept getting worse. This couldn't be. I think we just believed that some kind of miracle would happen, and she'd open her eyes and make that wry smile, and ask Chris if he'd had anything to eat yet. None of us can believe that instead she had a last day out in the sun with her family around her, and then slipped away. Tomo and Aki both tell me that she was a very popular substitute teacher at Fox Mill, and that they'd always thought she was "pretty cool." I will always remember her for her dignity, sense, and wry humor. We are so sorry that you don't have her with you anymore. So sorry - Elizabeth
