Thanks for everything Coach. I remember a practice where we couldn't pass the ball like normal players should be able to...I think we just took off on a big lap because we could see how frustrated you were but we knew it was because you really cared about us. Both you and Coach Huddleston really put in the work even though we were just a bunch of adolescent and clueless kids. Just never really got to thank you.

Jeff had an infectious laugh, an outstanding smile, and a wonderful talent for making any story absolutely hilarious. He made high school not only bearable, but fun and exciting. As my first boyfriend, he taught me how to love, explore, and to care for others. He made me feel welcomed, beautiful, desired, and loved. He set a standard that I have yet to fill. Jeff will always have a large piece of my heart. He was truly a beautiful friend, boyfriend, brother, and son. I am a far better person for having him touch my life. I will forever love and miss you dearly, Jeff.

To Sue and Michelle Holko, I was so deeply saddened to learn of Jeff's passing. My memories of him are only some of so many that enrich the lives of those who knew and loved him. I recall Jeff's days as a patrol at Dogwood, keeping a responsible eye out for the younger kids as we crossed the street. Later, in high school, Jeff would be there to assist me on the field as I learned to play lacrosse for the first time. I knew Jeff to be a natural leader, loved by so many. Please remember that we love our extended family from Bedfordshire Circle so very much, and only ask that you let us know if there is anything that myself, Jen, or my mother can do to help you through these difficult times.

I worked with Jeff at Herndon Middle and he made the days here filled with laughter. We had the same sense of humor and we could crack each other up like no one else. As a Mom who has lost a son and a sister who has lost a brother. I do certainly feel your pain. My heart and prayers are with you and for now bask in the out-pouring of love that Jeff's friend share with you.

I was crushed to learn of Jeff's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Jeff for the past year at Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville, a DC healthcare law firm. He was truly a beautiful person with an ineffectious personality. He will truly be missed. My deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family. RIP Jeff.

I am so sorry for your loss. Though I only knew Jeff for a short time, I found him to be a genuinely nice person. I can only share with you what comforts me when faced with such a loss. "I have hope toward God...that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." (Acts 24:15) I truly look forward to the possibility of seeing Jeff again. As the last enemy, "death is swallowed up forever." (I Cor. 15:54)

I was deeply saddened to learn of Jeff's passing. Jeff and I worked closely together for nearly a year at a law firm in D.C., where he assisted me with trademark and other matters. During that time, Jeff was an absolute pleasure to work with, and I found him to be an extremely bright person with unlimited potential and a great sense of humor. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss.

I had the pleasure of working at PPSV with Jeff, in fact his office was just around the corner from mine. While I didn't have any patent or trademark work for Jeff I did ask him to cover a Medicare Payment Advisory Commission meeting and he performed admirably and produced an excellent report of the proceedings. I used to tease Jeff about how all the plants in his room used to thrive, which was a tribute to him because the room had no exterior light, only artificial ceiling lights. I can't even imagine how devastating his loss is to his family and friends. We never put anyone else in the room that Jeff occupied and it sits empty to this day...a very sad reminder that he cannot be replaced. He was a delight to have here at the firm, and my deepest condolences to you for your loss. Judi Buckalew

Sue & Michelle, I feel like I have known Jeff my whole life since attending Dogwood and being a part of the “Stratton Woods family”. And I remember so vividly grieving with Jeff in group counseling when he and I both lost a close family member 20 year ago. I always felt like we had a connection from that. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. You all are in our prayers, may you find the strength in God to help you get through. – Sarah & The Nethery Family (Sonya & John)

I am so sorry to hear this sad news.....Jeff was so special and I remember his beautiful spirit and smile. He was always one of my favorite kids when our kids were growing up together. Corey really loved him too. I just put together a scrapbook for Corey with pictures of he and Jeff in that play they did in school. Do you remember that? They had so much fun doing that. I wish I were there to hold you. I love you Sue!

Sue, Michelle and family, Sadness sits with me to learn of Jeff's passing. I am terribly sorry and can not even begin to imagine the depths of your loss and grief. I have many memories of Jeff (the cute boy with spikey blonde hair in 2nd grade, the time he asked me to go to "go out with him" and I enquired: "go where?") He was such a wonderful and adorable boy that grew into a thoughtful and caring man - never changing his sweet spirit. Those of us that knew Jeff are richer for having been friends and shared in laughter with him. To you, I send my most loving thoughts and support. I am thinking of you. Khanh
