On Wednesday August 20, 2008 John R. Jackson, Jr. of Sterling VA passed away after a lengthy illness. He passed quietly surrounded by his family at Fairfax Inova Hospital. Beloved husband of Anne Jackson, of Sterling VA. Loving and devoted father of Yvonne Johnson, Tommy Jackson, Joran Jackson, Greg Jackson, Tycia Haight and John Jackson, III. Son of John R. Jackson, Sr. (deceased) and Pauline E. Jackson of Front Royal VA. Brother to Darnell Jackson (deceased), Barbara Jackson (deceased) and Melvin Jackson and sister-in-law Judy Jackson of Maryland. John is also survived by his 13 loving grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Adams Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden St., Herndon, VA on August 27, 2008 from 5-8:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held at Adams Green on August 28, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with a burial to follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Front Royal, VA. The family requests any memorial contributions be made in memory of John R. Jackson, Jr. to the National Kidney Foundation ( www.kidney.org )
