Obituary of Mary Peck Jeter

Mary Peck Jeter, 92, of Zephyrhills, FL., passed away in Zephyrhills July 23, 2009. She was born April 23, 1917 to Frank E. and Helen (Middleton) Peck. Mrs. Jeter came to Zephyrhills in 1955 from Herndon, Virginia. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Zephyrhills, the P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter E. U., active in the Tennessee Walking Horse Association and various pleasure riding groups. She loved the outdoors, gardening and maintaining her small farm. She is survived by daughter Ann Brooke Neukom (George) of Zephyrhills, daughter Leslie Louise Ehrich (Brice) of Brooksville, FL., son Frank Channing Smith (Joan) of Great Falls, VA., son Benjamin Landis Smith (Lynn) of Central S.C.,daughter Ethel Jeter Sutton (Robert) of Rock Hill, SC., 9 grandchildren Mason, Rick, Laurie, Tamara, George III, Matt, Jared, Neil, and Benjamin; 13 great grandchildren; brother Ben (Margaret Ann) Peck of Herndon, VA. Mary is predeceased by her husband J. McKessick Jeter; infant daughter Mary Ellen Smith and great grandson Patrick. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Gulfside Regional Hospice. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 am Monday, July 27, at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in her hometown of Herndon, VA. Arrangements entrusted to Adams-Green Funeral Home.
