The Welsh Society meetings won't be the same without Pat's smile and energy. Hugs to all her family and friends.

I met Pat JOnes at a Natl Welsh American Foundation weekend in Delta, PA just over two years ago. We stayed at the same hotel and shared meals. I gave her rifdes to the various events. When I was trying to find the Weslh miners cottages, I missed a turn and wound up on the nuclear power plant's property. Pat laughted until she cried and we've been friends ever since. I introduced her to some of our favorite restaurants in Stafford and Frederikcsburg, drove her around historic areas; volunteered with her at the Welsh Festival, went to Welsh Society meetings and events with her; went to Welsh music concerts with her last year during the Smithsonian Folk Life Fest in DC where Wales was the featured country. This year we've talked on the phone once a week at least. She talked of her life experiences, her family, and how much she gained from Al-Anon meetings. She liked to hear of my adventures and travels. We shared a love of opera and Welsh music. We were members of the asme Welsh organizations and talked of events we'd attended or planned to attend. We had both lived in Europe and both been teachers. I will miss our visits. I was happy to have her for a friend. She's left me with happy memories. In honor or our first meeting and our many shared experiences at Welsh events and knowing how fond Pat was of its members, my husband and I will be making a donation to the NWAF in Pat's memory. May you feel God's peace and love, my friend Pat Jones. Cindy Roser
