Obituary of Keith Cameron Keeler

Dr. Keith C. Keeler passed away quietly on February 6, 2008. He graduated from Occidental College, CA in 1939 and in 1943 with a MD degree from the University of Michigan. In February, 1944 was called to active duty, trained at the Medical Field School in Carlisle, PA before volunteering for Parachute School. He fought at the Battle of the Bulge and in Holland during World War II. Keith began general practice in Lewiston, ID for 2 years and then completed Residency training in Rehabilitation at Bellevue Hospital, NY in 1951. Dr. Keeler was director of various Physical medicine and Rehabilitation Departments in Cleveland and Akron, OH; Montclair, NJ, Little Rock, AR and Morristown, NJ and was a Professor at New York University Medical School in NYC from 1951 to 1981. He retired in 1981 and moved to Thoreau Place, Reston, VA. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, three children, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be private.
