Our family was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Bishop Ray. When we think of Bishop Ray, we recall the inspirational homilies that he delivered, especially one that touched our hearts profoundly at a Confirmation service years ago. Bishop Ray will be truly missed and we will remember him with love, gratitude, humor and respect. To his family, please be assured that you are in our prayers.

It is with much saddness that we learned of Ray's passing. We will always remember him for not only marrying us, but providing a place for us to worship and be accepted into a faith that we could believe in. We will keep the family and Ray in our prayers.

I was so very sorry to hear about Bishop Ray. He will be missed by the community of St. Andrew's. The Confirmation he presided over in our parish was the most beautiful and inspirational one I'd ever attended. My thoughts and prayers will be with his family.

On behalf of the Diocese of the Little Portion, CACINA, I extend to the Family of Bishop Raymond F Kelly OSB our deepest sympathy. All of our faith communities have offered masses in thanksgiving for the life of Bishop Kelly. The faith community of Holy Innocents remembers fondly the occasion upon which Bishop Kelly dedicated our church. His leadership as our Presiding Bishop offed the church the opportunity to grow in numbers and in faith. We know he now rests in the heart of our God, who he served so generously.

It deeply saddens me to learn of the loss of Ray Kelly. He was a gentle, passionate, deeply religious, humorous, and wise man full of life and compassion for others. He was a true Christian in the best sense of the word, and it will be difficult to think of Holy Trinity Parish without thinking of him and how diminished we are to lose him. Chris and family, I am heartily sorry for your loss

I will always be indebted to Bishop Kelly for his courage and diligence in establishing an independent Catholic community where I and many others are now able to worship and practice our Catholic faith consistent with our personal beliefs. His vision and efforts will always be appreciated and remembered.
