Obituary of Wilbur Lee Costello

Wilbur L. Costello (Age 88)

Wilbur served in the United States Army. He worked many jobs as a mechanic and ended his career as a Mobile Lounge Mechanic Supervisor at Dulles Airport. He met the love of his life Mary and they began their beautiful love story together in 1951.

Wilbur and Mary loved traveling with the family in their many campers. When he wasn’t working, traveling or tending to his family, he was busy mowing the grass or tinkering on whatever he felt needed fixing.

Wilbur was always willing to help others and lend a hand when needed. His dedication to his family was proven by his devotion to taking care of his ailing mother and wife Mary at the end of their lives.

On Sunday, May 12, 2019 at his home in Berryville, VA, Wilbur passed away peacefully working in his garage. He was the beloved husband of predeceased Mary E. Costello, devoted father of Wilbur Lee (Lucille) Costello, Jr., Denise A. (and the late Larry W.) House, Donna E. (James) Van Wagoner, Berkley A. (Laura) Costello. He is survived by 13 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren and 3 new Great-Grandchildren due this summer.

The family will receive friends at ADAMS-GREEN FUNERAL HOME, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 10:00 AM.
