Absent from the body, present with the Lord. (2 Cor 5:8) You graced my life with your love, kindness, and generosity. If I could have chosen a sister it would have been you. My heart aches because I will not see you again on this earth, but I rest in the joy that you are safe in the arms of Jesus. I will miss our talks, and our laughs ,and our times together, but I will always cherish the memories—especially those of our Lucy and Ethel trip to England. I am so glad that my son had you for a mother-in-law, and I am so blessed that we shared our grandchildren. Thank you for being such a precious part of my life. Thank you for always encouraging me. You were always there for me. I am so very grateful for the time that God gave us to spend together as family. Until we meet again my dearest friend.

Collette and Lisa, your Mom is one of the people I vividly recall from my childhood. She was a wonderful librarian and also my Sunday School teacher. She was always so kind and easy to talk to. I can’t imagine your loss but your Mom lives on in those whose lives she invested in. Please know that I will be thinking of you in the coming days.

Pastor Seidler and I are praying for you, Lisa and Collette. Your mom, Eva was a very special lady. I wish we had been able to see her, but we do know that we will see her in heaven. We are going to try to make it to the memorial service on the 15th. We are staying at Chad and Beth's in Stafford while our retirement cottage is being completed. I remember Eva's smile and her sweet spirit and her love for the Lord and her girls.
