Obituary of Eva Lois Stumpf

Eva L. Stumpf at the age of 73, passed away Sunday, May 19th, 2019. She succumbed to cancer after only being diagnosed six months ago. She passed peacefully and was surrounded by family and friends.

Eva was born in Sacramento, California to now deceased parents Martha Rogers and Ted Sattler. She is survived by her twin, Anon Foerster, who currently lives in Grafelfing, Germany. She also was predeceased by her older sister Echo Sattler. Her childhood was filled with home cooked meals carefully prepared by her mother and her clothes were often hand sewn by her father. She went to First Baptist Church and was given spiritual guidance by her parents. Her love for the Lord was instilled in her at an early age and her faith stayed with her until her last breath.

Eva married Timothy Stumpf while working for the Army Depot. They lived for a time in Santa Cruz, California enjoying the ocean breezes and California sun. After a time, they moved to the east coast for better employment opportunities.

Although eventually divorcing, Eva continued to live in Alexandria, Virginia and raised her two daughters. She took an opportunity to work as a school librarian at Engleside Christian School. This was a blessing from God so she could remain close to her two girls. After her children were grown, Eva went back to work for the government at the Administrative Office of the United States Courts. In 2006 she moved to Ashburn, Virginia to be closer to her grandchildren. Eva eventually retired at the age of 70.

Eva is survived by her two daughters, Collette Stumpf of Reston, Virginia and Lisa Spielman of Ashburn, Virginia and has two grandchildren Emily and Isaac Spielman. She valued family and enjoyed being close to all those she loved. She touched many lives and they have all have been blessed by her benevolent and kind spirit.  Eva always expressed so much gratitude for all her experiences in life and remained humble through them all. She may have been taken from us to soon, but she will live on in our hearts. Her love is carried on through all of us for the higher divine purpose of it all.
