Obituary of Joy Jernigan Florio

Joy Jernigan Florio, 65 of Oak Hill, VA, died Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Reston Hospital Center, Reston, VA after a sudden illness. Ms. Florio was born March 26, 1954 in Tullahoma, TN. Her parents were the late Lillian Jernigan Hendershot and Bobby Jernigan.

She was preceded in death by the late Lowell Ray Williams Jr. of Oak Hill, VA. Joy is survived by daughters, Vita Joy and Nicole Florio of Ashburn, VA and Oak Hill, VA respectively. Also survived by her former husband, Michael J. Florio of Vienna, VA; siblings Michael Jernigan, Jody Jernigan, Lori Jernigan and Marty Gonzales of Tullahoma, TN; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews in Tennessee, South Carolina and New York.

A Celebration of her life will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday June 8, 2019 at Adams-Green Funeral Home 721 Elden St. Herndon, VA 20170.
