Obituary of Jerry Wayne Reece

Jerry Wayne Reece, 78, of Kearneysville, WV.

Born in Buchanan, Virginia, he was the son of the late Arthur Reece and Merle Sutphin Reece.

Jerry cherished his happy childhood growing up on Sunset Hills Farm. He maintained friendships with his classmates from Herndon High School and was always willing to come to the aid of a friend in need. Jerry was a welder, carpenter, home builder and home inspector. He could build or weld a solution to any problem. He was a member of NOVA-ASHI and the NRA. Jerry served in the US Army for three years and completed training with the 82nd Airborne Division.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his girlfriend Ginny Strosnider. Jerry is survived by his brothers Paul Reece (Mary) and John Reece (Ann); sisters Bettie Castiglioni (Joe) and Jayne Bobe (Leo); stepsons Jason Daley and Sean Daley; nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Per Jerry’s wishes, his ashes will be scattered along the Virginia countryside.

A memorial service will be held at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden St., Herndon, VA on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 10am. A celebration of life reception will follow at Amphora Diner in Herndon, VA following the service.
