I was saddened to learn of Joanne's passing. My husband, Terry, and I met her in VA through Northern VA AOTT Almnae. She became a great personal friend, spending many Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays together, her place or ours (even after we moved to PA) Her kindness, laughter, and caring toward us, her mother Betty, and our children will always be remembered. There's a special place in heaven for Joanne---she cared so much about her family, friends, students, and the country.
May she rest in peace---we will miss her.
