I had the joy of sitting next to both Jason and Karen at work, and over the years, I was amazed at how well they worked together, and how well they got along. They really enjoyed working together. It was a joy to come to work every day and chat with Jason. He was an encyclopedia of facts and information, and got along very well with customers and co-workers. He also had a great sense of humor. He always got us laughing when we dealt with a stressful customer. He will be missed, and always fondly remembered by those lucky enough to have known him.

No parent should ever have to face the loss of a child, whatever the age. We hope you can reach a time when the terrible sadness of losing Jason is shadowed by all the fond memories you have of your treasured son. Please accept our deepest condolences.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked with Jason at TGC. His funny comments in our work group chat and his overall sense of humor are missed! Thanks to Jason, we still call dropped calls "Hobbits," because "there's one ring and then vanishes." He is gone too soon.

I will always remember how funny he was, and the great World of Darkness campaign he ran. He made a table of adults cry at the death of one of the NPCs, because everyone loved her and the voice he gave her. I used to have a notebook with funny quotes from various tabletop campaigns, and a good 2/3 of them were his.

Jason, John and I attempted to drive up to the renaissance fair in md. I say attempted because my car broke down on the way there it wound up being a day spent waiting for a tow truck doing a lot of walking and using the metro to get somewhere our parents were willing to pick us up from. What I remember most was the way Jason turned it into an adventure. We talked about comics and what we would have done at the faire wrestled and had a blast despite the change of plans. A time I’ll always remember and a much longer day then expected, but fun because Jason was there.

All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light from a single candle. -St. Francis of Assisi
To me, Jason was always a light, exploring new ideas, learning new things, and weaving those artfully into the story he was working on.
I will miss the light of the most master storyteller I know, and his sweet and gentle spirit.
Love,
Paige
