Our vacations at Bethany were some of the best times of our childhood, due greatly in part to sharing that time with your family and especially Michael. I was heartbroken to receive this news. Michael was an entrepreneurship student of mine at USC. I was so excited to see him embrace entrepreneurship and help build the tech community and drive capital to tech companies in the Southeast. We were making plans for him to speak to my current entrepreneurial finance students to share his career path, wisdom and passion. I understand from experience the deep sorrow of losing an adult child just as he is beginning to share his talents with the world. I’m devastated for the worlds loss. Michael was such a beautiful soul and I felt in my heart he was going to do things to change this cold world. Although I only knew Michael for this past year or so, I was lucky enough to grow pretty close to him. If I can pass any kind of message to his family, it's that he will be missed by everyone in the Charlotte community (by me especially). I wish I had told him in person how much I appreciated him. He was a great guy; dependable and kind. I was lucky to have known him.

Michael. You are an absolute gem of a human being. Who knew when I sat next to you during English class at Cooper Middle School that you would touch so many moments of my life. Cheeseburger- You always made me laugh and practice a little more fun.I will not forget you and Girthy trying to play middie. Didn't get up and down the field too fast but never missed an opportunity to hit someone. Playing paintball in the backyard or you all coming over to watch the National Championship, hit the pool and piles of burgers. The Piranhas were the best season. Such great memories.
