I had the great pleasure of meeting Elisa in July of 1997 when she and 2 other friends (Luis and Edgardo) from Puerto Rico came to work for RJO in Hunt Valley, MD. We instantly bonded and became a family. Elisa took the role of the big sister, 2nd mom. The company allowed us to rent only one car for all of us and Elisa was the only driver. She took us everywhere we needed to be. When we got an apartment for the first time, all of us went to Walmart together, all bought whatever Elisa would buy, dishes, silverware, trash can etc. We went to lots of events together, NBA basketball games in Philadelphia, Ravens game, Baltimore Orioles games, bowling, Washington DC museums, Baltimore and our beloved happy hour spot Padonia Station. Elisa's go to drink was 43 with milk We also would go to IHOP after church on Sunday's.
I always wished we could meet all of us back again and remember those great times.
Elisa was always happy and tons of fun to be around.
I will miss you my friend!

My prayers are with the Cardona-Oliva family. I worked with Elisa at Raytheon and when we ran into each other it was nothing for her to call me Miss Agency and I called her Margarita. We got our laugh about that. It was an inside joke. Elisa will be truly missed.

I met Elisa for the first time last June of this year, when my boyfriend and I visited Virginia to visit his cousins whom he didn’t see for the longest time, Elisa is one of them. I am honored that I was introduced to his cousins and had felt so grateful that I had that opportunity. I just felt sad that I will not be able to prolong the chance to know her better! May she rest in peace! God bless her soul!

I met Elisa playing pool at Fast Eddies in Fairfax back in 2007. We played on many teams together and whenever she would see me she would always give me a big hug and want to know how I was doing. She met my wife who was a nurse at Fairfax Hospital and we had a good laugh about when my wife was checking her vitals Elisa noticed her name on her identification tag and asked her if she was related to me and then my wife wanted to know how she knew me.
Over the years we made it to many regional tournaments and once made it to the Las Vegas Qualifier but I’m sorry to say we lost in the final round.
I am sorry that I am unable to be there but my wife and I have retired and have moved to Leland, North Carolina earlier this year.
Elisa will be missed.
