I always had to feel like I was supposed to act a certain way at church when I was there, but Denise always made me feel calm when I saw her and would engage me genuinely. Her daughters inherited the same traits and I know she will live on through their spirit and energy. We all love you and you will be sorely missed

I was very sad and shocked to hear about Denise’s sudden passing.
As my wonderful boss at Lockheed Martin for several years, she was also a respected colleague and a friend.
I enjoyed her Facebook posts describing her hiking, volunteering and traveling adventures.
I particularly liked her posts about TV shows that she watched. Some of the shows were very good and some were questionable (according to her).
I remember years ago she mentioned Downton Abbey. I was intrigued so I watched it and loved it.
I was told about her on Sunday and to me, it was fitting that Sunday evening Mike and I went out and watched the Downton Abbey movie. Here’s to the memories, Denise.
Denise appeared to live her life to the fullest and it is comforting to think that she enjoyed every day. She will be missed.
My sympathies and prayers go out to her daughters, Meredith and Devon and all her family members.

I had the distinct pleasure of working with Denise on many projects over the years. She was always professional, providing a great source for original ideas. I especially recall dropping into her office, sometimes for just a sanity check, other times about her vacation on the Jersey shore. Taken too soon, she will be missed by many. May God bless her.

I worked with Denise at the Department of State and from the day I met her she was a shining light. Whenever you saw her she had a smile that lit up the room and such a joy to be around. I am sad to hear of Denise's passing and miss her presence, but I know we all have another angel watching over us. My heartfelt prayers go out to her family and friends.

When Denise walked in the room she was all in! She was alive and vibrant, demonstrable strength in her convictions. And ready to work with a glad heart. I enjoyed our time together on the Racial Reconciliation team -- what a great contribution she made.
She lit a candle for each of us and would want all of us to continue shining in her absence.
To her family, my prayers -- and know that Denise walked with God and is with God.

I worked with Denise and for her briefly. She was an amazing person, always professional but also always available to chat and give encouragement. When I was struggling to balance work and motherhood, Denise was a mentor and support.
She drew from her own experiences with her beloved daughters to give advice.
She was a kind and loving person.

I was so very sorry and sad to learn of the passing of Denise. I always looked up to her and admired Denise as a woman of faith, kindness, compassion, grace and love. It is extremely sad for all of us who knew her to imagine that she is gone. There are some people that make an impression on you for a lifetime and she is one of those very special people. Denise loved her daughters, Devon and Meredith, so very much. It was evident in all that she did and how fondly she spoke of them. Heaven has gained an amazing angel, and those of us on earth have lost a beautiful soul. Memories do last a lifetime and I hope that Devon, Meredith and all of Denise's family and friends will celebrate her well lived life and cherish the moments that we spent with her.
Peace, prayers and love,
Stephanie Eberhart

While I am soo sad to hear this news I must do what I know Denise would want and celebrate her life. Looking back, I now feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work so closely with her. The project we had at DHS was anything but easy and she was always the shining star who was nothing but positive. While we only worked together for ~6 months, I can honestly can say Not only was she a coworker, she was a friend and mother figure to me. I will no doubt try my best to carry on what she taught me without ever knowing. I can only laugh at all the late night text messages between her, Javania and myself. In what was a complex and stressful project I must say she made the time truly bearable.
XOXOXO
Condolences to the family and friends. I hope it provides some comfort knowing the impact she had on so many!

I was fortunate enough to have hired Denise to work on the DOS HR project. She was a great asset for our company and our DOS HR customer. More importantly, Denise was a kind soul and always had a smile on her face. The work environment can be stressful, and Denise was always someone who could be confided in during good and bad times. She was a how can we fix this person, which was extremely appreciated.
It was very nice to hear about her adventures abroad, her work at Wolf Trap, and her hiking stories. We had great conversations about or children and the joys (and pains) of parenthood.
My prayers go out to her loved ones. She was an amazing person.

I am shocked and saddened to read this today! I know Denise from Hunter Mill Country Day School, as our children went at the same time. Seems like just last week I was enjoying FB pictures from Denise, seeing where she was going hiking next and was in awe of her trip to Africa with all the beautiful pictures she shared. My heart aches for Meredith and Devon. Denise was such a kind and loving person. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with all her family

It is so hard to believe that Denise has passed. While I know her faith guided her through life and she is absolutely now with the Lord, her strength and love for all will be missed here. Her two beautiful daughters were her purpose in life and my prayers and love go out to both of you and the rest of your family.
I had the great pleasure of leading a scout troop where Denise was a selfless volunteer and great friend. As we struggled to raise our daughters and instill a strong value system during turbulent times, we shared many deep conversations as well as many laughs and more than a few glasses of wine.
I will never forget her warm smile and hearty laugh. We are all better to have known Denise Beach, if only for too short of a time.
My deepest Condolences,
Susan

To Denise's family and especially to her daughters Devon and Merrideth. Your mom was truly a special person. I worked for her for about 7 years at ACS/Lockheed Martin. She was an incredible boss that would always have time to listen. She was helpful to me as I wanted to enhance my career with a certification and when I wanted to move on. Most importantly she was a friend. Always with a kind smile and a sincere concern about what was going on in my life.
As she would often tells about what her daughters were up to she would always be sure to ask about our kids and how they were doing. After leaving the company I was always glad to see an email from her and as Facebook became a primary mode of communication she was one of my valued friends on FB. While she and I were on differing political views she was always someone's comment I welcomed and often learned from things she had to say.
I am so sorry I won't have her posts about her girls, hiking or yoga showing up on my feed any longer. The world is a sadder place without Denise among us.
You have my deepest condolences. She will be dearly missed.

I am truly saddened at your sudden loss. My fellow adventurer, you challenged me always whether it was a step challenge or a mountain peak. Our love for nature will surely not be forgotten. I am heartbroken that we could not take that adventure together that we so patiently planned. I was looking forward to that bottle of wine by a campfire. However, I will take you with me on every journey, mind, spirit, and soul. You will be right there by my side. Much love to you, my friend. Until I see you again.
