Mary Ann was beautiful and kind. She was a rock to her three children and devoted to her four grandchildren. She loved to host family and holiday dinners and did so with great style and delicious food. She welcomed all. Her in-laws adored her. She was like a sister to us and an extended granny to my son. She leaves a void in our lives, but will be forever in our hearts. God bless you and welcome you to heaven, Mary Ann. - Margaret

May Mary Ann be at eternal rest with God in heaven. Mary Ann and I shared 12 years of classes at St. Thomas More and Bishop O’Connell High School. She, a Van Horn and I a Ward, we always were seated next to each other. Mary Ann was very special and always a pleasure to be around. I went toO’connell High School with Mary Ann and then worked with her 3 years at the Voice of America. We graduated on a Saturday and started work at the VOA on Monday. She won the Miss VOA Contest !!!!!

My Grammy was the best person in the whole entire world. She would stay up with me till 3am watching stranger things, she and I made my favorite dip ever and we enjoyed watching hallmark movies and river dale together. I remember when my dad took her down to Austin to surprise us, that was the best surprise ever! I wish I had gotten the chance to see her more but when u did, my heart was complete. She never failed to do anything for us, she always put a smile on not just mine but many other peoples faces and in their hearts. I will always be thinking about how blessed I am to have a beautiful angel always looking over me. I can’t wait to see her again. I know she’s having SO much fun up there with her family, I also know she’s looking down on me with a great big smile. Forever love❤️ -Lily Alvord
