Obituary of Lane Michael Burrows

Lane Michael Burrows from Potomac Falls, VA, at the young age of 15 passed unexpectedly on November 18, 2019.  He was born at Andrews Air Force Base, MD, on October 9, 2004.

Lane was an honors freshman at Dominion High School where he enjoyed playing football and was a proud leader and member of DECA. Most importantly he was a proud big brother who loved his little sisters and brother. 

Lane was an incredible young man who touched so many of our 

hearts. The first thing you would notice was his infectious smile, but you would quickly get to know his big heart. Lane enjoyed music and loved playing his guitar. Football was his passion and embodied the Dominion Titan spirit in every play.  He earned his Arrow of Light with Cub Scout Pack #1152 and a former member of Boy Scout Troop #956. He really loved being part of the game with his many years playing baseball with the Lower Loudoun Little League and when he got a ball, he was sure to fire it where it needed to go. 

Lane is an incredible spirit with such a fire in his heart, taken from us far too soon. He is survived by his mother and stepdad, Maranda and Daylen Heil, father and stepmom, Chad and Kelsey Burrows; siblings, Reille Heil, Jake Burrows, and Kensley Burrows; grandparents, Robert Welti, Joyce and Stan Long, Rick and Janeen Miller, Terri Rockwood and Michael Burrows.  Lane is preceded by his grandfather Dan Moore, grandmother Carol Heil, and great grandmothers Mildred Hazelrigg and Bertha Burrows. Lane is survived by many more wonderful family members and friends. Lane held his friends in a special place in his heart, and we cherish and love all of you.  

There will be a vigil held in honor of Lane at Dominion High School on Friday, 22 November 2019 at 7:00 pm.

Lane’s Celebration of Life will be held on 23 November 2019 at the Capital Church located at 10233 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA. 20182.  Family members will have private time at 12:00 pm.  Friends and community members are welcome at 1:00 – 3:00 pm.  The Celebration of Life Service begins at 3:00 pm.  We will gather directly after the service for food and fellowship at the same location.
